> Braille music is a Braille code that allows music to be notated using Braille cells so that music can be read by visually impaired musicians.

I guess the question is what is the benefit or some question why it matters if the earth is thought to be flat or round

> Perfection is founded entirely on the love of God: “Charity is the bond of perfection[2];” and perfect love of God means the complete union of our will with God’s: “The principal effect of love is so to unite the wills of those who love each other as to make them will the same things[3].” It follows then, that the more one unites his will with the divine will, the greater will be his love of God. Mortification, meditation, receiving Holy Communion, acts of fraternal charity are all certainly pleasing to God -- but only when they are in accordance with his will. When they do not accord with God’s will, he not only finds no pleasure in them, but he even rejects them utterly and punishes them.

...

> Finally we should consider the events which are happening to us now and which will happen to us in the future, as coming from the hands of God. Everything we do should be directed to this one end: to do the will of God and to do it solely for the reason that God wills it.

> To this end let us familiarize ourselves with certain texts of sacred scripture that invite us to unite ourselves constantly with the divine will: “Lord, what wilt thou have me do[80]?” Tell me, my God, what thou wilt have me do, that I may will it also, with all my heart.

edit:

> Conformity signifies that we join our wills to the will of God. Uniformity means more -- it means that we make one will of God’s will and ours, so that we will only what God wills; that God’s will alone, is our will. This is the summit of perfection and to it we should always aspire; this should be the goal of all our works, desires, meditations and prayers.

> In July 2012, Tablet Magazine, an online Jewish publication, quoted the Public Religion Research Institute’s 2012 Jewish Values Report: "American Jews are overwhelmingly in favor of abortion in all (49%) or most (44%) cases. There is little denominational or demographic variation on this level of overall support." The author went on to summarize:

> "That’s 93%, folks. The report goes to explain that while opinions are more varied by political affiliation among Jews, over 75% of Jewish Republicans believe that abortion should be legal in all or most cases. From the data, it seems that Wasserman Schultz isn’t saying anything that isn’t reflective of the vast majority of Jewish opinion. In fact, it seems that access to abortion is the issue upon which the most Jews agree." [37]

> Polls of Jews in America report that 88% of American Jews are pro-choice.[38]

I don't understand this, Judaism itself sounds like it would be conservative. Is it just a ton of Jews that have drifted away, like "liberal Christians" but who still call themselves Jewish?

Of course it fits in with being a kind of curse from God, or allowing them to fall in to error for rejecting Christ.

But still, I don't understand the history and why this political shift came about.

> they are banning nicotine

I think it's possibly for minor brain boosting ability, I've heard it can boost testosterone but I'm a bit skeptical. But more for it's just taking away people's freedoms and trying to get people accustomed to never being an adult (don't you have to be like 21 to buy it in most places in the U.S. now?)

I agree with jhunga, smoking is not the best for relaxing for me

if you'd like nicotine now and then, losenges or gum or patches might be used smokeless. There are limited studies suggesting it can be a brain boosting nootropic substance in moderation.

Than being said, I've found it just keeps me wired even while I sleep and I feel more relaxed or energetic without any substances

there are other substances that can calm you like magnesium possibly. look up natural stress remedies

one critique of this meme is economy of scale, if everyone is pooling resources in to one giant institution, then theoretically they can produce goods cheaper

in practice though the lack of incentives leads frequently to lower quality and quantity of product here due to lack of market competition

> "Think about how crazy that is," MIAFW noted in the statement. "This person who values independent thinking, progressive politics, art, music, creativity, intelligence (and tight-fitting jeans) is unknowingly wearing and using products that are creating abusive environments for people globally. But, admittedly, it’s tough to buy ethical because so many of the brands we grow to know, love and trust simply don’t uphold standards that align with our personal ethos."

> how to get a job

there's a book "what color is your parachute" that has this "flower exercise" where you write down things you're good at, things you like doing, things people want to pay people to do. May help give some ideas if you're trying to figure out what jobs you want or businesses to start.

Then you can find job board websites and send in applications. Or go around town and look for help wanted signs, talk to the people inside. Or find businesses you like and ask them if they need help (sometimes positions aren't advertised).

> get an apartment

can also find listings online, or like on craigslist. Can ask around and find roommates? Find listings of apartment complexes in your area. Can save money if you just live at home though if that's what you're doing. Just leave the house more maybe.

It seems attention is drawn towards the "bad white man" who should "pay reparations" for previous treatment of blacks

However, why don't they also want to return things back to how they were with blacks going back to Africa?

Why don't blacks, who are free to immigrate legally in some cases, try to get back to their "home" themselves?

If a white person from like the U.S. or Spain was enslaved and sent to Africa, and then was set free, regardless if they asked for "reparations", wouldn't they want to go back home after the ordeal?
