I remember seeing some older white people who hated black culture as they though it appealed to base instincts
 
they thought that a white person adopting such styles and mannerisms was backward, as they were capable culturally of striving towards pursuits of higher culture

For this statement to come from Revilo P Oliver (One of the most well educated men that I am aware of )really says something.. This brief story says a lot about the dedicated Seeker of Truth, and the sacrifices in life that are often required.

When we build huge palaces of marble, and gold.. we invite parasites into our midst.. Fore this reason we try and stay away from opulence and excess.. We design our buildings with the impression of "Enough for our needs, but not for our greeds" in mind.
 
We know that Beauty is important in our daily life, as it incites the desire for Greatness in others, but we also realize that all that is made of matter will in time crumble and fade, and we do not try to create timeless structures.
 
We build them fast, we build them efficient, and we build them with Love.
