This post needs a disclaimer: artificial sweeteners are more harmful to children than processed sugar.

Artificial sweeteners are known to cause:

* Cancer

* Heart disease

* Inflammation and gum disorders

* Cause memory and learning problems

* Metabolic problems

* Lymphatic problems

* Hormone problems

That's a false dichotomatic choice ... like cocaine and heroin.

Its not though. One is shooting yourself in the head and the other is stubbing your toe.

Sure both are not Good but one can be consumed in minor quantities with little if any repercussions.

Speaking of which ...

> A review published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine has claimed that refined sugar has a similar effect on the brain as illegal drugs such as cocaine. [Link](https://www.ramsayhealth.co.uk/blog/lifestyle/is-sugar-more-addictive-than-cocaine)

Dude, don't be like that. If it didn't come from nature, don't fuck with it. Eat natural.

Sugar makes them hyperactive, it also makes them more attention hungry thus they pester their parents more

not to mention its the fastest way to make them into fatasses, goyslop and goyslurpie combined with a sedentary lifestyle (Computer, internet)
get the kids a ball, a bicycle, a punching bag or anything that involves physical activity, and i understand for young parents this is hard because they just want peace and quiet so they give their kids a tablet and they actually BECOME an ADDICT

but i do believe the Amish were on to something, and the more depended on technology we become the more *goy-cattle* become

Also, sugar damages teeth. After I quit sugar, never had teeth problems again. Ancient, pre-sugar age skulls still have sane teeth.

Yeah sugar absolutely fucks up your teeth, esp in liquid form.

Ancient societies didn't have sugar, they had honey

and honey actually protects the teeth and gums, unlike sugar.

Remember to eat honey in moderation. I was eating like half a bottle a day and was wondering why I felt like shit all the time. Even the bible says eat it in moderation.

Nope, I can confirm my personal experience. When I was a kid, we never had sugar and I never had cavities, despite never brushing my teeth (neglectful parents, rather than health nuts).

When I started eating sugar, I started getting cavities. In response, I started brushing daily and flossing but still got more cavities than when I was young.

Refined sugar destroys your teeth.

Define "good food"

i could classify Wagyu Burger as good food, but not sugary goyslop

i mostly put endives and pickles on my burger, maybe fermented saurkraut when i'm out of pickles

as for tomatoes, yeah i know they're loaded with sugar, but we're talking about artificial sugars and goyslurpie, not something that's naturally occurring.

>Out of curiosity do you put any tomatoes or onions on your burger? because those are loaded with sugar

Ohhh, it's retarded. I get it.

Refined sugar, numb nuts. He obviously means refined sugar. Of course you can't eliminate *all* sugars, your own body makes them.

Saying "tomatoes and onions are the same as corn syrup because they both have sugar" is the Jewiest pilpul I've read all year.

If you don't let your kids try sugar at a early age, the moment that they inevitably try it may make them addicted

Isn't sugar more addictive than opiates?

Im pretty sure Kyle was pointing out the hole in your argument. If you feared not giving your kid an addiction at an early age, with sugar, would just make them more susceptible to becoming an addict later in life, then why not just give them other drugs at an early age, for the same reasoning.

Are you asking why sugar isn't as dangerous to give children as black tar heroine or fentanyl?

I tell you what, try cutting processed sugar completely from your diet and see how far you get.

No. Kyle and I are using your own reasoning, and applying it universally, to show how flawed it is. At least with how you worded your initial response. You said:

>If you don't let your kids try sugar at a early age, the moment that they inevitably try it may make them addicted

You're arguing here that it's better to give your kids sugar at an early age. You're implying, that by not giving your kids sugar, they're more likely to become addicted to sugar later in life. That is false reasoning. And, by applying your logic universally, you may as well give your kids all manner of other drugs, because according to your logic, it will make them less likely to become addicts later in life to those drugs.

Modern sugars are incredibly bad for people, and negatively affect the body and mind. Don't believe me? Look at old photos of people before the implementation of incredibly processed sugars and foods. Almost everyone was thin and fit, without having to always exercise.
 Look at children raised on a more natural diet (like Amish children or farmer children), and compare their attitudes and mental states to children raised on highly processed sugars and junk food. If you haven't noticed, the children raised on those highly processed sugars act exactly like addicts. They're extremely temperamental, antagonistic to their parents, throw tantrums at the drop of a hat, and if you don't keep giving them sugar, they lash out and go even more whacko. This is one of the reasons why so many kids are being diagnosed with things like ADHD.

I fought off people with a stick to keep them from giving my kid sugar. That should be something kids rarely have and people oddly get offended by that. My kid never got hyper or had the meltdown tantrum crashes.

HOW DARE YOU KEEP YOUR CHILD AWAY FROM THIS SWEET ADDICTIVE LIQUID!! ARE YOU INSANE?!?!
WeedleTLiar on scored.co

I've got relatives (read: Boomers) who will try to sneak Sprite, or Coke, into six month old babies after you tell them not to.

Addicts try to normalize their addiction by sharing it with others.

Alright faggots, I am raising some kids right now and I will help you guys with this.

If you have ANY friends they will have shitty candy and what not. Some stores sell candy made from sugar cane. You buy this stuff and when halloween comes around, etc, you trade the “Good” candy with the garbage candy.

You occasionally let your kids have some Good candy.

You stay away from all candy with dyes. Literally put it on the kids list of allergies (Red dye 40 for instance). People respect allergies. My kids, right now, rarely if ever even want candy. They want the pretty wrapper more than anything

Replacing the trash candy with better ingredient candies for Halloween is exactly what we do in our house. Our kids get to eat sweets on occasion such as things we bake like cookies and muffins. We find that the best course of action is to just not put sweets a pedestal. If we're having " treats" with supper then we serve them with the meal. All things in moderation.
