lol, funny you commented that, another response comment elsewhere was that this was another "eat the bugs" scheme to prevent us from having the "luxury" of daily showers
My view is showering may be less necessary depending on the life you live. Probably "dirty" parts of the body could be cleaned daily (armpits, etc.). The rest is less important and could be cleaned every few days maybe.
In the summer too UV rays I thought are cleansing, so you might feel less need for showering for that reason. And in winter you might be outside less to sweat, for those in cold places.
I think it's possibly for minor brain boosting ability, I've heard it can boost testosterone but I'm a bit skeptical. But more for it's just taking away people's freedoms and trying to get people accustomed to never being an adult (don't you have to be like 21 to buy it in most places in the U.S. now?)
I agree with jhunga, smoking is not the best for relaxing for me
if you'd like nicotine now and then, losenges or gum or patches might be used smokeless. There are limited studies suggesting it can be a brain boosting nootropic substance in moderation.
Than being said, I've found it just keeps me wired even while I sleep and I feel more relaxed or energetic without any substances
there are other substances that can calm you like magnesium possibly. look up natural stress remedies
one critique of this meme is economy of scale, if everyone is pooling resources in to one giant institution, then theoretically they can produce goods cheaper
in practice though the lack of incentives leads frequently to lower quality and quantity of product here due to lack of market competition
there's a book "what color is your parachute" that has this "flower exercise" where you write down things you're good at, things you like doing, things people want to pay people to do. May help give some ideas if you're trying to figure out what jobs you want or businesses to start.
Then you can find job board websites and send in applications. Or go around town and look for help wanted signs, talk to the people inside. Or find businesses you like and ask them if they need help (sometimes positions aren't advertised).
> get an apartment
can also find listings online, or like on craigslist. Can ask around and find roommates? Find listings of apartment complexes in your area. Can save money if you just live at home though if that's what you're doing. Just leave the house more maybe.
