with more things being remote, I honestly believe this is kind of impossible

but my approach in spite of that is finding general nonspecific events that are tangentially related to a specific interest. For example, looking for conservatives and thus going to like Republican events. You get fakes like neocons and other people, but then might find some likeminded people as well

but again idk about everyone else but a lot of these events and groups seem no good to me so in practice I have not necessarily been connecting with people IRL as much as easily lately

another route would be going to completely generic events that have lots of people and then trying to find people based on clothes they wear or striking up conversations with random people and seeing if they have shared interests or know people with shared interests

lots of people have been aware this kind of thing could happen, it was just weird to live through

jesse ventura did an episode in 2009 I think on his "conspiracy theory" tv show about a govt created pandemic scenario

neither poverty nor riches form monolithic cultures, but among the poor there are different groups that have cultures and subcultures, sure.

I saw a post on another forum where people were asking if wealthy people all act the same and like to buy expensive things, and the same kind of answer was given. Some people are wealthy and you wouldn't even know it because they live simply ("The Millionaire Next Door" stereotype). Others are flashy and more of what people think of with wealthy people. Not everyone's the same.

honestly I think maybe the best way to go about this is to encourage this freedom of association, but then also try to remind them of it being possibly illegal and for them to seek the legal right to do this (repeal the unConstitutional Civil Rights Act).

The general market forces would frequently promote "color blind" services in most places because companies simply make more money by catering to as many customers as possible, so the end result would probably be only so many "bad racists" discriminating against people they don't like meeting up, people like this meeting up exclusively, and lots of networks that allow most people for different groupings.

But also I reject yoga as a kind of hindu activity, although they could just stretch instead. The fact that they don't "just stretch instead" is symptomatic of their continued rebellion against Christianity and artificial attachment to "diversity" of religion and culture.

It's that time of year again where we bring up the debate about if or how we should end Daylight Saving Time

sometimes it's interesting to do the math on all these little things that we do

maybe it would be good to look on the bright side with some stats on small things we do that have big positive impacts

dangerous and sad rhetoric, just using excuses to try to turn people against the rights that are protected so that they can implement a worse system

what do you think about "ancapistan"?

seems like what the government does could be decentralized into different competing private companies

To me it really ends up looking more like small government than some ancaps think, but I also think it's more functional than non-ancap critics think

would be interesting to see how people would relate if government wasn't in the way threatening them with things like the "Civil Rights Act"
