I'll have to try this. I'm also interested in developing long stamina jogging. This used to be a common trait among our ancestors.

Stamina jogging sounds like an excellent survival skill! It took me a while to work up to a full squat but I would do the "2×4 under my heels" trick while I watched videos and now I squat all the time; shopping, gardening, building things, cleaning; it is very useful to be able to use the floor as a table!

ngl I didn't find this to be beneficial

tried getting in to standing more, that was ok, but went back to sitting, or just laying down if I'm not standing or sitting

You think it's safe to take it a step further and for each repetition of heavy squat you do, you sit in that position for a few seconds?

I wouldn't try that. If your tendons are flexible enough it would be a relaxed position sitting at the bottom which wouldn't help your lift. If you are not flexible enough, I think it would be too much strain on your tendons and you might pull something and injure yourself.

Honestly, I already do this. I don't do it for anything crazy heavy, but, 225 for 10 seconds at the bottom is pretty easy for me. As far as I know, I haven't felt any sort of negative affects from it, so maybe it is as well good for you, or I'm just young enough to be able to take it.
