B: you'll always be a stinking jeet

C: Technically keto means unprocessed, so that means nuts and forest-berries are okay (though do try and avoid stuff like raisins and cranberries those are sugar bombs)

I lasted 3 months before i caved to the carb withdrawal

A man can't go so long without a slice of pizza or a burger, let alone potatoes

Are you thinking of paleo? Keto means eating less than ~50g of carbs per day, almost nobody would waste that on berries. Also it only takes about 3 days to enter ketosis.

Keto was 20 and under carbs when I did it. Could be placebo but when I went over I felt it.

You'll start pissing more than usual. Sugar makes you retain water. The water gets released when you drastically reduce your sugar intake. Most people lose about 2.5 liters of retained water after about 7 days, a liter of water weighs 2.2 pounds. If you can stick below 50 grams of carbs a day the first week, you'll lose about 5 pounds right away. The extra pissing will subside after the water you're retaining is gone. I started doing Keto in 2020. I weighted 255 (I'm 6'1"). The last time I weighed myself was in March of this year. I weighed 170. Aim for 35 grams a day, because it's easy to mess up and go over that. It's better to mess up a low target, rather than a target of 50 grams a day. Ignore the amount of sugar on the label of what your eating. Only concern yourself with the amount of carbs. A lot of people make the mistake of only counting sugar grams. Carbohydrates convert to sugar in your body. That's why you have to only track the amount of carbs. After you get used to doing this for awhile and figure out what you can eat, it gets easier. Most people consume an average of 270 - 300 grams of carbs a day. Look at the labels and see what you've been eating and drinking to get an idea of what you're average was. When I first started keto, I screwed up.. because I continued to put milk in my coffee, not realizing how many carbs were in it. – if you exercise while on this diet, you will lose weight even faster. I didn't start exercising until the Summer of 2024. I've had no ill side effects from doing this for this long, only benefits.

I've never done keto myself, but you can buy ketone test strips at most drug stores pretty cheap.

Keto doesn't mean unprocessed, it is short for ketogenic, and the body enters ketosis after you lower your carbohydrate intake. And the body produces and uses ketones for energy when glucose is scarce in the body (especially in the brain).

You absolutely cannot have fruits if you hope to enter ketosis. Fruits are still carbs, just unprocessed. You must be thinking of paleo which is a diet where you eat like a hunter/gatherer basically.

Answer to the questions:

A) Ketosis starts within 24 hours of fasting, or up to 2-3 days if you continue eating as the body can still produce lots of carbs if you eat too much protein.

B) Yes, you will smell different, especially at first. It will even out though.

And an answer to a question you don't know to ask: Feeling like shit is 100% normal. Keto flu sucks the first time it happens. It will stop happening though as your body gets used to going in and out of ketosis.

Thats sugar withdrawal. In one week youll be fine and no longer crave sugar. Youll be urinating alot as your body releases glycogen. Keep your water intake and pink salt intake up. You will get headaches if you dont have enough salt

I did keto for a few years. After 3 days of sub 20-25g carbs your body will start producing detectable levels of ketones. And you will start feeling your energy and body changing.

You can buy test strips for your pee if you want to check

I never had body odor with it. Just dont be a jeet and wash yourself regularly.

Its an okay diet, though it increases body stress and cortisol levels. You will miss breads and pasta.

Blueberries in small amounts, or you can kick your self out.

I stayed away from them. The sugar in them can kick you out of keto, but if you eat small amounts and spread them out through the day should be fine.

Ive since switched to a moral animal based diet. Meat, dairy, eggs, fruit, honey. My body is less stressed and I feel better than I did on keto.

Keto is short for ketosis... the opposite mode of insulin.... your body is either capturing free energy and putting it in fat cells or pulling that fat back out and using it as energy.

With keto the idea is, get through the 1st 2 week "flu" and then start testing your piss and maintaining ketosis every day... this means your body's Resting Metabolic Rate (the calories required just for sitting still) will become a large player in shedding weight. Just do small physical activities that can increase your muscle mass. It will start slow, but if you keep it up, you can increase your RMR while also jumping your daily active metabolic rate as well.

Its like dont run a marathon or do 1000 sit-ups while trying to lose weight on keto, take a walk every day and do some planks.... get it?

Ty ty...

If you don't have a strong gallbladder I recommend going down the rabbit-hole of "medicinal Amaro."

(You will be increasing your fat intake by a metric ton and herbal digestifs are amazing holistic aid to a high fat diet like keto.)
