There have been vegan saints and fasting for religious reasons tends in more of a vegan direction, although you could follow Catholic fasting rules with a mostly carnivore diet. "Black fasts" are vegan (not required), I think, and fridays traditionally would have carnivores sub in fish for the meat. Eastern Catholics and orthodox during "Great Lent" I think go more vegan

I operate under the assumption that our bodies were 100% designed and not “evolved”. As such, humans are almost exclusive obligate hyper carnivores. Meaning, we suffer more pathologies and disease from a lack of meat intake than the other way around.
