I'm kind of for legalizing all drugs, slowly, while also putting in place societal infrastructure for discouraging the abuse of drugs and to help people who become addicts.

I can elaborate on further reasons for legalization of drugs if requested; it is not however a top priority to me as a policy issue so I don't focus on it as much for that reason.

What do you think about drug legalization or criminalization?

Do you want San Francisco, because that's how you get San Francisco

ehhh, I think it really depends on the morality of the people

for example, if drugs were legal tomorrow, would you go "shoot up heroin"? Probably not, so it really comes down to people and culture being responsible, then they will probably legalize drugs anyway as it wouldn't be an issue and would reduce healthcare costs (when you can grow your own medicine)

lol sorry this is brand new federation with scored I think...?

I think really it comes down to creating a culture that wouldn't turn towards addiction, and then we would probably legalize drugs anyway as it wouldn't cause as many problems. Like if certain drugs were legalized today, you probably wouldn't turn to them again. So we need to have people develop that kind of attitude that even if legal they won't abuse them, that kind of thing. But it would bring down costs for healthcare (being able to grow your own medicine) and I think it's a dangerous precedent that we have all kinds of meds out of the hands of the average consumer as it makes us dependent on doctors to prescribe necessary meds at times.

I don't really agree as a gun manufacturer could be held responsible for misuse of a gun, but it's ultimately the user that's responsible; additionally opium is used medicinally as a painkiller, and coca as a high altitude remedy, I'm more focused on having meds be legal (the derivatives of them may be intense and less useful)

No. Instead, execute all drug dealers and smugglers. Bomb cartel compounds with white phosphorous munitions. Place automated turrets on the entire border wall.

When instead of a free ride and infinite money and handouts for doing smuggling, these taco niggers get a swift hanging, the allure of being a mule will wane.

People are not prepared to handle drugs. Many cant even control beer and cigarette use, which is 0.001% of the power of hard drugs.

And drugs are retatded to begin with.

on a related note, I learned recently that fentanyl is used medicinally in hospitals... I thought it was purely a "street drug" with no medicinal value

That's how you get drug culture. Addicts start idolizing anything adjacent to drugs as well, like nogs. I don't mind addicts killing themselves, but making all these other bad things acceptable is too far.

Why do you think that's a good idea? People are not rational, and those with the inclination to do drugs (and I mean any kind of drug) start as casual users and quickly start to abuse them. They think they have everything under control, but they are the last people to acknowledge the extent of their dependency.

It's easy to damage yourself with nearly any drug. They destroy your life and the lives of those around you. I'm speaking from experience.

I think it's important to have free access to medicine, and not wise for us to currently have meds locked away from the average person and only available by doctor prescription. Many of the natural substances that are made in to artificial drugs seem to have some medicinal value, like coca is used for altitude sickness I think (which is made in to cocaine), and opium for painkillers (which is made in to heroin / or poppy plants). We should be able to grow and consume such products responsibly.

I also think we should live in an adult society that prioritizes personal responsibility and freedom to make such mistakes (like becoming addicted) over paternalistic restrictions in this case. Like, I doubt you are going to do heroin tomorrow if it's legal, so it seems like it would be fine for a lot of people to legalize drugs entirely.

[New feature on b/ConsumeProduct](https://arete.network/b/ConsumeProduct/p/5901/mirroring-between-consumeproduct-on-scored-and-aretenetwork). Already had some problems with bad actors using it to spam animal torture and CP, but it mostly turned out alright.

I'd point out that we were just fine before everything started getting banned, but that was before there were niggers everywhere. So I couldn't say, maybe a gradual legalization starting with the weakest stuff first like how hemp-derived THC is now federally legal.

No and I could not outright support this even if our communities were entirely European descendant and fitted with all the non-government mechanisms our ancestors had for maintaining standards of behavior. However, in such a scenario, the brunt of the harm caused by full legality would be easily withstood.

Now, here, in reality, it would only reduce the amount of actively dangerous blacks that police are able to apprehend. And this in an environment where the state has no motive to remove blacks in any other scenario. They will only remove a black whose presence actively and publically undermines their authority, and only because they have to. The fact that doing so helps Whites is not just incidental, it's an undesirable consequence of necessary action on part of the state.

I'd be ok with legalization if we also had extreme punishments for being a fucking degenerate homeless bum.

Used to be a Meth and heroin addict as well. I am in the opposite camp though. As a Christian and a past addict I think they should still be illegal. They need to just fight the manufacturers and cartels in a tougher way and offer more help and support for the lower end people..

I can agree with not throwing people in prison for minor things.

Would making it legal stop anyone either though

I worry if it was legal it would become even more popular. There is right and wrong and our laws and living should reflect that as best as possible. People still murder even though murder is illegal.

Yes Jesus saved me as well. I agree churches need to get more involved and we need to create help for these people. Not just label them and throw them in jail and throw out the key. Though I also feel punishment of some sort is important.

Being illegal does not STOP EVERYONE, but it STOPS MANY/MOST.

Why is that such a hard concept to get?

Legalizing it also means normalizing it, which means more people will use it because its cool.

Much like more people "transition" because it became legal, normal and cool.
