Why are people so obscenely resistant to admitting when they've lost? Why is this true for YOU? Why are you *personally* so resistant?

Or is that not a self-reflection that people are capable of? Is it like thinking about infinity? Then forget it, and just talk about the dumbasses you've proven wrong. WTF is going on with them? Get a load of those obstinate bastards, am I right? The nerve.

What's so bad about being wrong sometimes? I literally don't get it. Help this dumbass understand. When they're about to see they're wrong, people act like you insulted their mother.

What gives? Thoughts?

(INB4 cognitive dissonance. Labels don't explain phenomena.)

A slave who has been a slave his whole life

Actually clings to his slavery because he/she believes this is the only path to survival

The slaves care not for truth or politics, but only base comforts...

beautifully written

and to the point, most cattle-folk regard the jews as holy because he holds all the shekels, shekels=happiness, safety, security

a society that worships hedonism and consumption, is prone to spiritual slavery (which is why most people wouldn't dare to badmouth the jews lest their shekels be taken!)

In a word : pride.

It is a fool’s fortress and shame’s cloak.

> What's so bad about being wrong sometimes?

I imagine the word “wrong” above replaced with the word “human”.

> cognitive dissonance

Losing your shit and acting like a proud little bitch/child is NOT cognitive dissonance, despite popular misconception. Freaking out and screaming at/attacking something to make it go away and/or prevent discussion/communication/learning/reflection/humility is ALSO not cognitive dissonance.

Cognitive dissonance is the brain’s inherent, and most often completely painless, ability to hold and even reconcile 2 paradoxical positions at once. Cognitive dissonance is actually what ENABLES human beings to continue to believe they are right while at once being definitively proven wrong.

I always admit when I’m wrong, but the issue is I’m rarely wrong.

The two are not unrelated.

When you admit you are wrong, you have the opportunity to correct yourself, which means you won't be wrong that way in the future.

If you can't admit when you're wrong, you continue to make the same mistakes.

The earlier you learn humility, the easier it is to leave your failings in your childhood and grow past them.

Let me give you an example, so you would understand.

> I literally don't get it.

You are too dumb to understand. Take the L, nigger.

It's because usually other components of their world view rely on whatever you are attacking. If they were to admit they were wrong here, they would be wrong elsewhere and then elsewhere. It is why people get extremely defensive over something seemingly inconsequential.

For instance, I was arguing with a friend who is a Christian. He was explaining why he doesn't believe in "evolution," how the world is only 6-7000 years old and also there was only a single creation. This is outside of logic.

I asked about Noah's Ark. Well, in those times, he says there was the primordial bird, the primordial cat, the primordial dog, etc. And from that primordial form, came all other associated species... So they evolved. A wolf became a chihuahua. A house cat became a lion. A grizzly became a Kola. And then these animals traveled around the world on boats or something to reach their current habitats.

He was getting increasingly irate. I said there was another creation after the flood. Animals couldn't have "adapted" in such a significant way in 2000 years. He eventually freaked out and called me racist.

Apparently this whole idea of pseudo evolution was the cornerstone to explain why different races of people exist. Lmao. So when you uncover it, this dude believes in evolution simply to not be racist.

I have no problem to admit when I'm wrong. Thing is, when my opponent calls me racist or a natzee, he hasn't proven me wrong, just that he doesn't have any counter arguments or proof.

Add to that the fact that I adjust my language after whoever I speak to, like most sane people do. There's a difference in how I talk when I talk to an adult or a child, a human or a dog, an intellectual or an idiot. The more insults they throw, the more insults I throw back.

Of course this leads to escalation which doesn't help anyone. I guess that's my weakness, funny enough when I ignore the shills trying to provoke an angry response they get mad instead. ;-)

I simply enjoy arguing, but if im wrong ill admit it, and if I think im right but cant convince my opponent, ill admit we simply cant agree.

The Woke ideology (regardless of political leaning) is based on the rejection of objective reality in favour of a reality created through concensus. They beleive that they can *become* right if they can get others to embrace their mistake.

It really is that simple.

Ever heard someone say "Trust the experts" and then lose their mind when you disagree? That's what's happening.

Trannies are probably the most pure manifestation of Woke. They beleive in things which are clearly not true only because there is an "expert" concensus that agrees with them.

Labels literally explain phenomena. Its called definition.

People can't be wrong because they build their entire worldview on a few key underlying ideas, whatever those ideas are.

When the wrongness threatens an idea directly tied to one of those foundational precepts, they will immediately defend it, because otherwise they would have to question their entire basis for their identity and perception of others.

Their cognition is based on those precepts. To question them questions EVERYTHING and their reality is no longer reality because it's based on a lie. To disrupt them causes dissonance in their cognition. Cognitive dissonance.

Pride, a tale as old as time. Adam and Eve wanted to be like God, knowledgeable and not beholden to Him. Pride was their downfall, too.

I consider myself someone who can recognize, repent, and quickly try to make amends when wrong. But I still battle the prideful urge to be heard, understood and validated. I strongly dislike arguing with people, especially (bluntly) stupid people, as it's pointless and I find myself getting aggravated. We all struggle with pride in some regard!
