That's a compliment to a woman, so truly a "woman moment". I think it's worse for a man because her bringing it implies she has had friends with benefits and one night stands and while that is neither a desirable past for either sex to have I would guess it's a little worse for a man to know that about his woman? That and of course women generally value marriage more then men, so 'being marriage material' is a great compliment to a women.

Think of it from a woman's perspective. Imagine a man told her
>"Those other girls are nothing compared to you. Sure I'd bang them, but you're the only one I respect enough to invest in. They all wanted me, but you're the one I chose to share resources with, because you're the only one I want for more than just her body."
It's complimentary because it proves the man has high value by having other suitors, and proves the woman is high value because the high value man choose her.
The reverse doesn't work, though, for several reasons. There's nothing impressive about a woman having many suitors, so it is not to her credit to have options or a history. The man treasures access to sex, so finding out that he couldn't score it from her diminishes him. The man wants more than just investment, he wants the whole thing. Finding out he is only worthy of a subset of her affection is not a compliment.
The properly corresponding compliment for a woman to say to a man would be
>"There were many guys who wanted to marry me, but you were the only one who was good enough. I'm so glad I saved myself for you."
Women do. Women dont have attachment to pump and dumps they know. They think their desire to be married to you is the pinnacle of everything a man would want from a woman. Its not. And like children, they believe gifting you what they would want, is the best gift you could want.
Lol, guess he disagreed.
