At the very least, if it's patently obvious that the vast majority of people voted for the same parties and things, it makes it more difficult to lie without waking people up. That doesn't work so well if everyone swears off of voting.
Just never let yourself believe that you've done your part after voting and that any candidate is really your guy. Mentally divorce yourself from the idea that you're solving anything with a vote and I think there's not a whole lot to lose. Game theory-wise, you avoid the psyop which causes you to let off steam by believing you can vote your way out, and you also avoid the psyop of "It doesn't matter so don't try." If nothing else, do it to spite a redditor.
It might be true, but it's your choice to accept a submissive mindset. That's the one part you have full control over. Voting for what you want and being lied to is not the same as stepping back and saying "Do whatever you want." I say vote anyway because there's a creeping sentiment of "outer-directed" thought in the right ("My life is determined by my circumstances and I have no power to shape my own fate"), which used to be owned entirely by the "Woe is me" left, and I think it should be stamped out. It's a mindset which produces weak people.
Even in your personal life away from politics and voting. It just doesn't pay to go through life feeling like you're acted upon and have no power to make an impact yourself. Voting is just one tiny mental trick you can use to make yourself feel like an active force in the world. Just don't count on it fixing anything outside of your control.
