For a guy "who's been following politics for more than a year", he's not very astute.
Israel wasn't worried that Kirk would stop the war in Iran, they were worried that he would turn on them. If their #1 cheerleader in the US started pointing out hte terrible shit they were doing, using American troops, there was/is a huge chance that the Boomers (the only demo that wants the US to support Israel at all) would change their minds.
Instead, it was a Leftist tranny ie someone they're already programmed to hate, so nothing changes (and I mean *nothing*).

Of course he was a threat, a major even. Kirk had millions of conservative followers, and he seemed to be quite effective in his approach. Imagine a former zionist turns anti-zionist. He alone would have caused major damage to the interests of israel, by turning away millions of conservatives (prime zionists btw, more than leftists) from the "pro-israel cause" (his words).
And Kirk would have turned ALL the jewish donor money and TPUSA that made him against them. Meaning it was treason to the jews, and also a major threat that had to be taken care of as soon as possible. It was even time-critical, because if it would have been widely known that Kirk turned anti-israel, and it would have went on for months, it would be too late.
Can you imagine the narrative impact it would have had? "I was a lifelong jew cocksucker, but even I have enough of them and their genocide!" + "Let's talk about how the stereotypes about jewish donors are true..."
