> This is what I mean - there is variance.

You completely missed the point. That's all the variance you're seeing because we do not accept the primary lesson: true intelligence requires pain to build.

The societies we live in do not admit that. If you've never seen it first hand, it's a surprise, but it is absolutely true. This is the reason parents used to use corporal punishment, not because they're psychopaths, but because they lived in the real world and understood this apparently elusive fact.

Well if life's main challenge was knowing what _not_ to do instead of what _to_ do that'd be something. I think you write a lot but your ideas aren't very rigorous or considered.

That is not intelligence. That is rather decency or discipline. Intelligence affects the ability to calculate, to abstract, to understand or develop complex systems, eloquence, understanding situations, knowledge (via the rate of learning).

I do not want to deny the value of corporal punishment, and there are a lot of leftists (men and women alike) who need a good beating or more. But it's more like reinstalling a software rather than changing the hardware.

Well, quite a vague accusation, coming from someone who confuses intelligence with decency. But no, everything I write is actually quite thought out.

Do you want to argue why TND and TKD are necessary rather than mere deportation? Do you disagree about my stances on Hitler? What shall it be, I'm open to discuss anything.
