Sometimes I need Ebony wood for small parts like cabinet pulls. Ebony is extremely expensive so instead of going the normal route I go on eBay and buy a used African sculpture and cut it into my parts. I get it for at least 50% off and I have the added bonus of keeping some nigger “art” off the streets.

lol I’ll have to tell my bro that hack, he’s a luthier on the side so he needs the wood for building guitars, and I know he uses ebony on occasion. The only problem is, the pieces he needs are usually pretty big.

He could use the book ends. They tend to have a pretty big slab on the back and then a bust or rhino or something carved out. Definitely not enough for a violin fret board but he could get a bunch of bridges, tuning pegs, inlay pieces etc…
