Yeah, I'm using LibreOffice, I paid $0.

This is only a problem if you weren't paying attention anything for the last 25 years and so never realised that paying for software, at all, is a scam.

Man, I was there for when Sun sold OpenOffice to Oracle. Apache owns it now and still develops it.

Yeah, that's why I stopped using it.

Same. Oracle was doing shady shit - as always. Look up how Oracle even started. It was stolen research, patent violations, and they were selling licenses without the code even being written yet.

I wonder why companies continue shelling out money for open-source development, and when they'll stop.

It's free bug fixes and tax wrote offs. They use the code for their own proprietary software as well.

yes ok, that is fine for some software, but there is a small minority of people who will do it or tech savvy enough to do it. Why is everyone else forced into subscription services.

Also cars now are locking already integrated physical features behind subscription services.

Its just pathetic that the world is turning into this, and people are accepting it.

People aren't willing to do what it takes to stop it.

Exactly. I’d rather pay a young more tech savvy person to set me up to get around this type of shit, than continuing to support it. Unfortunately most bOOmers, and normies in general appeal to authority bias which includes big corp/tech, and think that anything trying to get around them is a scam thanks to fucking kikes, niggers, and jeets.
