Same. Oracle was doing shady shit - as always. Look up how Oracle even started. It was stolen research, patent violations, and they were selling licenses without the code even being written yet.

It's free bug fixes and tax wrote offs. They use the code for their own proprietary software as well.

When I worked for a Fortune 100 tech company we used BusyBox for our [proprietary hardware gateway. I reverse engineered the communications for monitoring hardware produced by our competitors.
