It’s funny you picked that year because I have an 09 with extremely low mileage, and in amazing shape other than the paint, and everyone around me thinks I’m nuts because I’m about to spend 6k on a legit paint job. They’re all like why would you put that kind of money into such an old car. “Why not just trade it toward something new, and nicer”? I’m like that would be great, if it existed, and wouldn’t cost me more than 10x what it will cost me for a paint job. Show me a car with a manual transmission that doesn’t have screens for gauges now, and other screens awkwardly poking out the dash as “infortainment”, that’s easy to work on yourself, and isn’t filled with useless technology I don’t need that monitors me 24/7. It usually shuts them up pretty quick.
With all that said, I believe the last model year for most cars where everything went full retard was 2012 or so. If you got in before that, you likely have something worth keeping. I’ve got two low mileage pre 2009 vehicles, and I intend on keeping them both until I die. The only way I’ll ever get something else is if I win the lottery or some shit, and I do a complete custom build of something that weights less than 2800lbs or so.

Dude. I literally just spent 12 k on rebuilding a 09 scion xB front to end by my sef minus the paint job that i still desperately need. I chose 09 as a cut off because after 09 emissions went into absolutely kike nigger mode. Granted i have a very limited few exceptions after 09.

Damn, that’s a decent amount of scratch considering you did the work yourself. What exactly did it need? What did you replace? That’s awesome that you’re able to get the work done yourself. Saves a shit ton of money, and you know it’s done right.
If you intend on keeping it for more than five years, just bite the bullet and pay a legitimate white owned business to paint it for you. Depending on your area you’ll be looking around 4.5k-6.5k on that size car as long as you don’t do anything silly. I’m just doing factory color. If I remember right, those little scions got great mileage, and the angina’s were bullet proof as long as you kept them up, and changed oil regularly. Just curious, but is it a manual?

Every nut bolt and part is factory new including tires and wheels rebuild manual transmission i did my self minus the engine rebuild it because im not there yet even though i replaced just about everything on the engine. Found the absolute best aftermarket suspension upgrades etc.
I will drop 20-30k in restoration of an older car in a heartbeat and i will know everything mechanically is guaranteed for at least 5 years and will not have to touch anything body wise because of rist and paint for anywhere from 10-15 years. You cant even buy a car for less than 40 k today and it won’t even last 2-3 years at best, and the new car already comes delivered to you pre broken with tge check engine light on. So ya tge savings restoring and using an older car that is better mechanically and visually appealing is my only way to go.

I totally agree man. On top of all that, most new vehicles are horrible looking, and extremely big, and bulky for no reason at all. Finally, new vehicles attract more attention, especially from niggers.

TATD total automatic transmission death.
Though the 1.9tdi volkswagens (and the other brands in the VAG like SEAT, Škoda etc) are buy it for life vehicles, to be fair. I've seen so many clapped out shitbox banger VW golf 3s and 4s (and equivalents) that are at 500k+ km with the 1.9tdi.
Furthermore, I consider that Israel must be destroyed
