No. He's still in the system. AFAIK, he's a mental health case and will (likely) be put in a psych hospital. I am making some assumptions here but fairly reasonable assumptions given my understanding.

It will be several years at least. But you're correct, he will live in a psych hospital for a few years where they will put him on clozaril or zyprexa. He will eventually be shipped off to a group home where he will refuse his meds for a few days, then abscond, and be on the streets smoking/drinking everything he can find until he is either caught (HIGHLY UNLIKELY) or until he offends again and the police bring him in for a NEW violent crime. This will go on for decades until the offender is physically incapable of leaving his bed. Ask me how I know lol.

So the way our system works right now, the mentally ill just bounce from jail, to psych hospital, to group home, then they abscond, then the streets, then crime, then back to jail.

This just repeats for 40-50 years until the patient is physically bed bound and then and ONLY THEN will a nursing home take them because they physically can't assault staff for giving care/meds etc. I see this happen All. The. Time. All of this costs John Taxpayer tens of millions of dollars over the course of their life.

I'm not saying this is a good thing, it's just how our system works right now. All while the Extremist-Left cries that we have "No help for the mentally ill and addicted" population. You can't communicate with these idiots, they literally have no idea what they're talking about and just scream at the sky because "Trump" and republicans lol.
