That is false. They only did that as a last resort, when the system failed and the criminal was going to escape justice. One should remember than more Whites than niggers were lynched. This wasn't a phenomenon that was practiced exclusively on niggers. On occasion, they would lynch a jew, like Leo Frank, whose sentence was commuted by the governor from death to life imprisonment. When that happened, the people knew the fix was in, and it was just a matter of time before he would be pardoned and set free, so they took matters into their own hands.
