This guy gets it. As a father with two daughters this is the most realistic and most effective way to do it without risking pushing your daughters away and doing the exact opposite of what you want. You give them guidance and the occasional nudge. They will find their way and since they will get there on their own, there's no one to rebel against. We homeschool and don't shelter them, but there's never too much to undo at once as a parent of a public school kid may have to deal with. Be proactive not reactive.
