guys, be realistic. technology is here to stay. if you lock your daughter in a room the first thing she will do when she leaves is buy a phone, get drunk, and do something stupid. to my understanding this exact thing happens to the Amish a lot precisely because they isolate their daughters and never sate any curiosity to any extent.
if any of you ever have kids, *educate* them. give them the smartphone, let them watch TV, but be there next to them and say "look, this is propaganda." when they join a Discord server for their favorite game when they're 12, join it alongside them and tell them "hey, these guys are weird" when inevitably that server has a gay porn channel. if you do this before anyone has had time to groom your kid they're going to learn from you that it's weird and leave - if you wait for 5 years until he's a faggot to tell them "watch out for dem der internet pedos!" they're going to rebel because they've been taught for 5 years to love faggotry and hate you.
you can't just run away from responsibility because someone else will become responsible for your children. you need to be proactive. kids want to learn and explore so be there to teach, otherwise someone else will teach them.
