bingo. as it's a traffic case, it's likely only a magistrate, not even a real judge. there's already a process for this, and the magistrate can't help. the traffic citation in virtually all states is a sworn affidavit by the officer, so if they knowingly lie, it's perjury. assuming you have rock solid video evidence...

* get the ticket dismissed, that's what's happening here. that's this phase.
* file an internal affairs complaint. officer faces suspension/termination.
* refer it to the state attorneys office for (a) prosecution under state laws for perjury and whatever the local equivalent is for official misconduct. there MAY under state law be criminal offenses for false imprisonment, but often unlikely. and (b) this is where the brady listing gets added. a brady listing is a modern evolution of the case Brady v. Maryland, where the state must disclose in all future cases the officer is to testify in, that the officer was previously caught lying.
* file the federal civil rights case.

busted part is if you ever go anywhere near this far, you better be planning to move, because the department is going to make your life hell.
