If the judge doesn't know the process, he can't advise the man on how to do it, so that's legitimate. Plus, he's right, it's not his job, nor should it be, but he pointed the man in the right direction.

This post is bullshit.

I disagree. The judge told him to report police crime to the police. As we all know, police are very good at investigating themselves.

He did not. The judge told him to seek redress and restitution from the police. That's not the same thing.

bingo. as it's a traffic case, it's likely only a magistrate, not even a real judge. there's already a process for this, and the magistrate can't help. the traffic citation in virtually all states is a sworn affidavit by the officer, so if they knowingly lie, it's perjury. assuming you have rock solid video evidence...

* get the ticket dismissed, that's what's happening here. that's this phase.
* file an internal affairs complaint. officer faces suspension/termination.
* refer it to the state attorneys office for (a) prosecution under state laws for perjury and whatever the local equivalent is for official misconduct. there MAY under state law be criminal offenses for false imprisonment, but often unlikely. and (b) this is where the brady listing gets added. a brady listing is a modern evolution of the case Brady v. Maryland, where the state must disclose in all future cases the officer is to testify in, that the officer was previously caught lying.
* file the federal civil rights case.

busted part is if you ever go anywhere near this far, you better be planning to move, because the department is going to make your life hell.

It's literally his job. How can the judge have authority to rule on a Brady petition but NOT know the process?

Yeeeah, you keep licking those boots, faggot. 🙄

It is not literally his job. He works in the judiciary, and he's not required or even expected to know the procedures in law enforcement. He gave the man guidance, and that was all he was required to do. What if he gave the man bad or incorrect advice from the bench? Would he be liable for any problems that came up?

You're one of those dumb fucks who thinks one man has all the power and authority to solve problems, like Trumptards who think Trump could solve all of America's troubles if he only cared more about it.
