For context: Oceans of Palestinians weren't happy about Westerners gifting their birthright to jews, but they still welcomed them with open arms as survivors of the holocaust.

Palestinians welcomed jews into their homes, gave them shelter, clothing and shared meals and celebrated birthdays as if they were family.

Then one evening, the Palestinians returned home to find their locks changed and IDF troops threatening to murder them if they didn't flee homeless into the streets with nothing but the clothing on their backs.

The jew stole everything and laughed about it.

I think the solution here is to refer to them as "Holocaust survivors" ... with the quotation marks.

Quotes would introduce ambiguity about if the Palestinians sincerely believed in the holocaust, which was not my intention.

Instead, I expressed what I wanted to, with or without your permission or approval.
