Most examples of Roman Medical equipment are usually of crude tools of scalpels, picks, and gouges. These here are a little on the fancy side with the detail on their handles.
Their goal is to discourage readers from investigating further into Greek and Roman knowledge.

Not to disagree, but why would this discourage people from looking into Greek and Roman knowledge? I mean, the tools look really cool. I'd be tempted to at least Google something about it, if I read the article
If all they are displaying are scalpels, you would assume that much of their medical knowledge was primitive.
Only after seeing the Pompeii display, did I learn that their battlefield medicine was pretty sophisticated. They were using anti-septics, alcohol and vinegar, for their medical procedures.
Modern medicine didn't start using antiseptics till the mid 1800s.
If you dig deeper, Ancient Greek and Roman doctors were performing complicated surgery. They performed mastectomies, and surgically removed kidney and bladder stones.
