That's the whole point, buddy. You've lived in a broken society where "them" is an occupying force, rather than your own collective. Your reaction seems to be to retreat into salty boomer individualism, rather than fighting to break away from the occupier. I'm not waiting for anyone to "rescue" me. I know the score, and my life has been successful precisely because I have leaned into my family and community. We have duties and responsibilities to meet if we want to win.
It is good to be tight with your family and aware and active in your surrounding area. Mostly to prevent collectivists from getting a foothold. I don't think we are saying completely different things in some ways. I am not saying retreat from life, but don't give yourself to a group outside of your family. Sooner or later, you will regret it.
