The good news is that most conditions are self-limiting and appointments are not needed. The bad news is that life will still fuck you when least expected.

I hate the boomer with a passion, but when mills, and GZ bitch about the younger boomers, and older GX not retiring, I bring this up as a legitimate part of the reason. The hate it still warranted though since they’re a bigger part of the reason everything is kiked now, but they’ll still be able to have some semblance of a retirement compared to everyone else under them. Most of the GZ, and many of the younger mills I speak to don’t even think they’ll ever be able to afford a home in a decent WHITE area.

What pisses me off is that boomers refuse to vacate positions to allow the younger generations to advance and grow, while they are in the best position of any of us to actually retire. Look at congress/senate/any govt sector really, why the fuck are millionaire geriatrics still working? Same with all of the excess real estate they own well into retirement, like they are going to be buried with it all.

Paying between 25k, and 40k per year for “health insurance” where you only meet your deductible if you, and/or your family are on their deathbed.

I’m not in that position, but I would just put the price of insurance or in the case of $3,800 maybe I’d do half into a high interest savings account or IRA or other investment. Unless you or a family member gets some terrible disease or steps on a land mine you tell the hospital you aren’t insured and the cost is magically the same as it would have been with insurance. Because of the Affordable Care Act if you get cancer or something you can just sign up for insurance after the fact.

I know every situation is different, but wtf are these people doing? Where I live a catastrophic plan with HSA only costs 800 USD a month, and a federal subsidy pays for it entirely if you make less than like 120k. So you pay nothing up front. Your medical bills are pre tax up to 4800. And at 7k bills you hit the out of pocket limit where everything is covered. If you make less than like 40 or 50k you get medicaid for free, which is the best possible insurance. You never even see a bill.

Im not going to lie though the paperwork is a fucking bitch.

I retired at 59. Using Christian Healthcare Ministries for "health expense sharing" It is less than half the cost of marketplace plans, because they discriminate against preexisting conditions. 5% of the population consumes 50% of the health care dollars. So these people don't use health sharing ministries

Didn’t they just get in some serious trouble for denying people?
