I'd love to know exactly when this became "problematic". Like when exactly did people begin to genuinely believe that a random thug's life was worth more than their property.

Egalitarian rot.

The life of a righteous man and the life of a man who raped and murdered someone are fundamentally of equal value, so saith this age. Any punishment you may devise for the murdering rapist must be considered in light of the fact that his life is just as "precious" to God as that of the righteous man. And any leniency you may show for the mistakes of the righteous man must be considered in light of the fact that he's basically a murdering rapist at heart.

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

The rapist is hailed as a hero by communists because niggers raping White girls is "a revolutionary act"

It comes from Rousseau's notion that the government is the only entity that should ever be allowed to commit an act of violence.

I would argue that stealing my property is also an act of violence. If I work 40 hours to earn money to buy something, and that something is stolen or destroyed, the thief took a piece of my life that I am entitled to.

I don't think that the death penalty is the *best* solution but, considering we refuse to enslave criminals to force them to provide value in exchange for what they destroyed, it may be the *only* solution available.

The Rousseauian position, which is fully codified in blue states, is that even if you are being murdered, you still don't have the right to commit an act of violence, not even to prevent yourself from being murdered. They would argue that the only thing you have the right to do is call the police and hope they give a damn, and only the police are allowed to do anything about the murderer.

Rousseau also wrote that the state has the right to kill you for any reason it wants, and that if it orders you to commit suicide, you have a moral duty to kill yourself.

My position is that violence should not only belong to the state. That's not how America worked at all, until after Judea's war on Germany. Our grandfathers didn't just leave everything to the police. Men back then would beat up faggots, pedos, and niggers who went where they weren't welcome on sight, without fear of legal repercussions. The modern way of never engaging in any violence no matter what was imposed on us by people who have been edjewcated to believe in Rousseauian and Marxian ideas.

What I’ve always explained to people, is it’s not even JUST the property. It’s the exchange of time, energy, and/or resources that you had to expend in order to attain, and gain said property. I also love the low IQ ones who try to say but “hurr durr, that’s what insurance is for”, as if that’s free, and it doesn’t cause rates to go up even higher than they already are. That’s if whatever is stolen is worth the deductible. Lots of time your just SOL.
