I've only recently started reading the source material and I've learned that the Gnostics believe that the God in the Torah is actually an imperfect God (described as resembling a dragon) and not the true Father of everything. Jesus Christ's father is not the Torah God but the true Father of everything. Jesus Christ was trying to save humanity from the Torah God.

Seems pretty accurate to me. Many people say that jews worship the devil. Well, the Gnostics basically said the same thing in texts over 2000 years old. I've also heard the Torah God is a dragon bit before and thought it was a modern view. I didn't realize it literally was written in texts 2200 years old.

Gnosticism is ill-defined and is used to describe a wide variety of beliefs.

It's also inconsistent. IIRC, Revelation was once considered gnostic.

Revelation could be Gnostic. Of all the texts in the bible it seems the most out of place.

Definition of Gnosticism:

Dualistic Cosmology: A radical separation between the spiritual realm (good) and the material world (flawed).

The Demiurge: The belief that the physical universe was created by a lesser, imperfect deity known as the demiurge, rather than the supreme, true God.

Divine Spark: The conviction that humans contain a fragment of the divine spirit trapped within material bodies, requiring gnosis (awakening) to escape the material world

Christological Views: Many Gnostics viewed Jesus as a divine messenger who brought secret teachings for liberation.
