I already don't think this is real, you don't have to prove it to me. But really, when people are as demoralized as the average American right now, including (and possibly especially) the military, rules start to slip and people legitimately stop caring. Even the mid-ranking officer that would check him might very much *not care anymore*. Let's say you're a lt-col or a major and you've got to inspect this guy, you got a wife and teenage children at home and you're in some godforsaken place. You voted for trump for no new wars and to make America great again, but you feel betrayed. You're questioning your job and the last 20+ years of your life. Is this individual less likely to give a fuck? Yes

My fault, I realize that was abrasive. But I dont think either of us understand each other. I don't believe that it's real, but I do believe that this hypothetical person could have had a phone on him anyways. No, a phone wouldn't have service, no that isn't a pilots helmet. I completely agree with you and I don't believe that this is real anymore than you do.
