The hotels oversell the rooms. Then guests come in to check in and oops the room was oversold and is already occupied. Sorry here's the wheelchair room by the front door. Then the guest screams at front desk clerk but the front desk clerk has absolutely no power over the booking and sales department. So the greedy sales people work easy hours, get huge bonuses for overselling rooms, then the lowly paid front desk clerks have to suffer all the abuse, anger, confrontation.
Also the bookings through third parties usually get less priority than bookings through the hotels own reward program.
People seem to be naive about how broken the court system in USA is. Mostly because they avoid the courts, don't pay much attention, fear ever entering one even as a plaintiff. It's a broken institution as broken as healthcare and everything else. All the institutions in the USA are breaking down , slowly but surely.
I never stay in hotels. I bring camping gear. Sleep in truck or camp near my truck in brush in camo tent.
Most hotels in USA are large corporate franchises will many Indian franchisees. If you stay in a Hilton or Marriott or whatever you're probably enriching an Indian.
And since Indians are bobble head jews then of course you will be jewed.
The reason they build hotels is because they often make more per square foot than they would with apartment building. So what you get is lots of hotels and not enough apartments/housing. Same with storage facilities. They're fucking everywhere. Investors run the math and they are more profitable than rental units when you run all the costs and revenues and tax numbers.

trust me it was a GOLDEN LESSON to book DIRECTLY from the hotel itself rather from third party sellers, third party issues vouchers which isn't the same as renting the room from the hotel itself, meaning you pay a guy to make an order, and he makes the order as he sees fit
if they're overbooked, he won't refund you your money but rather simply use a clever trick (see the Wheelchair accessible room)
and yeah, big chain hotels are owned all by yids and pajeets its one of the reasons why i VET every hotel very carefully for the owners
