many small technology-oriented companies in the USA offer _real_ profit sharing in the company's success. So people will work hard and make shit happen and then get paid. and I mean real money. money that makes your yearly salary look like a tiny bonus. Something unique to the USA.

True, but that is only a tiny fraction of a percent of employees. Most people, even in the US, are not even aware of this existing.
