Yep - a 30 year old man today would be born in 1995. Depending on what economic jew you ask, that year is either the first zoomer or the last millennial. Times flying fast. Millennials are official out of the youth nest. As a zoomer I am upset about it because they aren't in the financial position that boomers were at their mature age. Theyre still all renting. Its not their fault.
I think there's a lot to be said about the kind of pop culture you were immersed in, and how old your perceived peers were, in judging what generation you belong to. I was born in 1994 and also have nostalgia primarily for the 2000s, but the majority of my cousins are much older than me, which kind of anchored my childhood in a 90s mindset. Me and my younger siblings all feel much more like Millenials than Gen Z.

There is a trend for be nostalgic for your older brother and cousins' childhood. They are the ones who used to inform our tastes, not social media influencers. Those most hyped for Pokémon never even owned a Gameboy color.
I'm '91 and I don't consider myself a 90's kid. I barely have any memories from that time, I'm way more nostalgic for early 00's stuff.
