There is a trend for be nostalgic for your older brother and cousins' childhood. They are the ones who used to inform our tastes, not social media influencers. Those most hyped for Pokémon never even owned a Gameboy color.

Indeed. I still have my copy of Pokémon Yellow, but I have bigger things on my mind than my Pokepals I made on spring break.
