Yeah sadly French (the Israelite tribe of Reuben) was prophesied to be haughty, arrogant and unstable as waters, never to truly thrive. They've done this several times throughout history, including both of those Crusades and even the Flanders Rebellion. "We're superior so if you don't do what we say the way we like it, we won't do it at all." "Oops it didn't work we lost and caused everyone else to lose too"\
Note that this doesn't mean I hate the French. I'm just speaking the facts. Understanding how they work is how you can more effectively use them without them hurting themselves or others. Not even the Hussars had more elite cavalry, it's just that the French never used them properly.\
In King Richard the Lionheart's Crusade, he won two victories against Saladin and was moving southward. He saw that Saladin had retreated to Jerusalem and holed up there. King Richard wanted to move on to Cairo and capture it, because it was poorly defended with most of Saladin's army in Jerusalem and would cut off Saladin's supplies and win the Crusade with minimal losses and risk. The French refused, saying if he didn't march straight on to Jerusalem and fight there, they would leave. King Richard needed the French's forces as they were a large bulk of his army, but the march to Jerusalem was long and the only viable way for the army was through narrow valleys, very vulnerable to Saladin's ambushes and they didn't have enough supplies to make the march. French refused to change their mind, so King Richard went. King Richard couldn't even make it to Jerusalem; they ran out of food before they got there and couldn't forage enough, so they had to turn back. Saladin was shocked at King Richard's blunder and chased after him, which did lead to another battle that Lionheart won, but it cost him so many troops that the Crusade ended in a stalemate and he was forced to return home to deal with rebellions, where he died.\
Much later, in the Crusade against the Ottomans, King Sigismund had one of the mightiest European armies the world had ever seen. As they marched to Nicopolis with an overwhelming advantage, King Sigismund drew out his battle plans to leave the French heavy Cavalry in reserve to answer the traitor Orthodox Serbian knights (Though the Ottomans held the Serbian's family captive, which is why the Serbs had to join the Ottomans). The Serbs didn't have enough knights and weren't nearly as well equipped as the French, and Sigismund's foot was easily capable of winning the fight without the French so long as the Serbs didn't attempt to charge out of fear of the French's retaliation. The French refused the plan. They said if they weren't put in front and used the charge straight at the enemy, they would go home. King Sigismund agreed, but only if they would wait for his scouts to return to report the enemy numbers so he could draw a better lineup. They also refused, and just charged straight ahead without waiting. This caused both of Sigimund's flanks to just retreat and refuse to fight out of fear of not knowing the inferior Ottoman's numbers due to not waiting for the scout, and the French got easily surrounded and held down. Sigismund's foot tried to rush in to save them, but the Serbian cavalry just flanked and routed them before they could, leaving the French to all be cut down to a man and lost the entire Crusade. Which, if you've ever played Kingdom Come: Deliverance, is exactly what set the events of the first game.\
Then we have the Flanders rebellion who were massively outnumbered and ill equipped to deal with the French cavalry. So they dug a bunch of ditches and stakes to help as much as possible, but knew they were going to lose anyway in a last stand. The French refused any battle plans, said they would just charge straight ahead and kill them all. Their crossbowmen tried to arrive first to pick off the Flemish, but the cavalry refused to wait and charged straight into the ditches and spikes. And were slaughtered by the thousands, even the French crossbowmen ended up shooting their own cavalry because of the mess. The French had to retreat and the Flemish won against impossible odds.\
Not to mention the battles of Crecy and Agincourt... where the French did the same thing against outnumbered English longbowmen. The English slaughtered more than 6000 French just by shooting them due to their arrogance. The official records of the Agincourt battle was that the English lost only about 112 men.\
This is history. This is reality. This is what the French repeatedly do because of their nature. It doesn't mean they suck or that we should hate them, but we should understand them to help them as best we can as fellow Whites.
