Cartoons and comics are just mediums for telling stories and they are for people who want to tell a story but don't have the budget to hire actors and actresses and don't have the money to create big CGI effects. One person cannot make a full live action movie with actors and actresses, but one person can pick up a pen and start writing his own story without any help from others.

That is not a children's plot, and its the only fictional show i've seen that made direct referances about the degeneracy of the Weimar Republic despite this show being a "cartoon".
