But a tribe is very literally a social construct....
I don't mean that to say that there wasn't a material reality like blood or geography that made the formation of any given tribe inevitable, or that a group of random people got together one day and said "let's make up some fake thing called 'The Saxons' or 'The Algonquian'" or anything like that. Just that it's a group of people that agree on something, and that agreement binds them together.
You know, if the members of the tribe didn't agree they were a tribe, they wouldn't be.
I mean, everything we do besides the basic biological functions is a "social construct", being social creatures is what makes us human. I don't get why people talk about things being a "social construct" as if that's the same as the thing not existing.
The guy who posted that is probably wearing clothes. What a fool! Doesn't he realize nudity based shame is a social construct, and thus doesn't actually exist and is meaningless!?
