I have tried different churches in my life. When I was younger Methodist and Catholic, no thanks. I have tried Southern Baptist but it was too contemporary . I even have LDS (Mornon) a shot and even though there were some nice things about it I couldn’t believe all of it:

Please help guide me I am willing to try different places. I am trying a LLMs to try and find a place but it’s not super helpful. Orthodox is so what kind? Reformed Baptist. Calvinist. Episcopal. Anglecan. There is just so many.

I like traditional and conservative and hymns. I’m willing to put up with MIGA a little bit if I have to I mean is there any not that way but I need to get out of the house.

Please don’t judge me I’m really seeking help. I’m in Alabama.

Mormons are heretics as they reject the trinity among many other reasons. I wish I could be more helpful but my best advice is to study the new testament yourself thoroughly so you can be a good judge of which churchs actually follow the teachings of Christ.

I have studied and read the entire Bible of course there is always room for more but there are so many I was just looking for advice. Most of their ones I have been to have either been those throw your hands in the air contemporaries or people just filling out a sheet with key words during sermon.

There are a lot of things I don’t agree with in regards to LDS I wasn’t born into the church I was just giving it a try but nothing they taught me seems to be a rejection of the Holy Trinity. Do you mean because they believe they are separate entities ? Even though they believe in modern prophets and all that ancient America’s stuff their main focus is still The Atonement and most of their focus is on Jesus Christ , Heavenly Father and Holy Ghost so I guess it must be that they are different entities . That seems like a minor difference when there are tons of huge things to pick out that they do that could be considered heresy

I'm not really sure brother, I was trying to be as helpful as possible but I'm still learning as well.

We reject the idea that God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are one substance. They are three independent beings.

We further teach the doctrine of theosis like our Eastern Orthodox brethren, but we go further and read John 17 plainly -- God intends us to join Him in unity.

Modern Christians hate this idea because as we have discovered it is what the ancient Christians actually believed and taught. Iranaeus wrote that God became Man so that Man may become God, for instance.

Joseph Smith was really, really good at guessing what was missing from the Bible. Amazing, isn't it?

I was and still am a convert of The Church if you have an open mind a lot of it makes perfect sense to me it did anyway. Some of the stuff is a little hard to believe but I just have faith I am making the right choice and remember I am human with imperfect knowledge. How Mormonism is the only sect of Christianity I know that talks about a premortal life amazes me I always just assumed that was the case.

What's doubly sad is that early Christians absolutely believed all the stuff the latter-day saints believe. We just didn't know. Now that we have discovered ancient texts that were lost, we're learning more and more.

Joseph Smith is just a really good guesser, I guess.

The "trinity" is a false doctrine that is not found in the Bible. None of the First Century Christians even believed in it.

Please, do study the New Testament to see for yourself how misguided the Christians have been since they stopped listening to the prophets and apostles.

Well there is Matthew 28:19 and 2 Corinthians 13:14. Are you just talking about the term "trinity" or the whole concept? Would like to hear your actual explanation.

Those verses (and many, many others, even ones from the OT) support the idea that there are three distinct persons in God, and this part of the doctrine of the trinity is correct and biblical.

The part that is not found in the Bible, nor part of the belief of any Christian until Greek philosophy entered in and spoiled and later codified at the Council of Nicaea in the 4th Century is that the three persons are one being, AKA "homoousis" or "hypostatic union". This is a completely foreign and incongruent idea.

The people who preach the doctrine of the trinity like to hide the part that is nonsense because it makes no sense, and emphasize the part that Jesus and all the others freely taught about.

Let me be perfectly clear about this: There ARE three separate persons and beings and they are God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. They are all "ONE" as it says in John, and Jesus intends us to become one with him as he is one with the Father. Another word for "one" is "UNITED".

Another false Christian doctrine that is not found in any scripture or belief until Greek philosophy took it over: *Creatio ex nihilo*, or in plain English: Creation from nothing. The Greek philosophers can't handle the idea that matter can be glorified and eternal just like God. They think matter is impure or unholy and God has no part with it. The idea that Christ's body was resurrected, literally, the body that died and was buried, is completely bonkers in Greek philosophy. It is a fundamental aspect of early Christianity, however: "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done ON EARTH as it is in heaven." In other words, Jesus intends to take over this earth and make it part of heaven. Today, the false doctrine of creatio ex nihilo introduces a whole host of problems, including the problem of evil. (IE: God created everything, therefore, God created evil, therefore God is evil.)

Thanks for the response. I'll have to study more about it.
