I have tried different churches in my life. When I was younger Methodist and Catholic, no thanks. I have tried Southern Baptist but it was too contemporary . I even have LDS (Mornon) a shot and even though there were some nice things about it I couldn’t believe all of it:

Please help guide me I am willing to try different places. I am trying a LLMs to try and find a place but it’s not super helpful. Orthodox is so what kind? Reformed Baptist. Calvinist. Episcopal. Anglecan. There is just so many.

I like traditional and conservative and hymns. I’m willing to put up with MIGA a little bit if I have to I mean is there any not that way but I need to get out of the house.

Please don’t judge me I’m really seeking help. I’m in Alabama.

There are a lot of things I don’t agree with in regards to LDS I wasn’t born into the church I was just giving it a try but nothing they taught me seems to be a rejection of the Holy Trinity. Do you mean because they believe they are separate entities ? Even though they believe in modern prophets and all that ancient America’s stuff their main focus is still The Atonement and most of their focus is on Jesus Christ , Heavenly Father and Holy Ghost so I guess it must be that they are different entities . That seems like a minor difference when there are tons of huge things to pick out that they do that could be considered heresy

I'm not really sure brother, I was trying to be as helpful as possible but I'm still learning as well.

We reject the idea that God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are one substance. They are three independent beings.

We further teach the doctrine of theosis like our Eastern Orthodox brethren, but we go further and read John 17 plainly -- God intends us to join Him in unity.

Modern Christians hate this idea because as we have discovered it is what the ancient Christians actually believed and taught. Iranaeus wrote that God became Man so that Man may become God, for instance.

Joseph Smith was really, really good at guessing what was missing from the Bible. Amazing, isn't it?

I was and still am a convert of The Church if you have an open mind a lot of it makes perfect sense to me it did anyway. Some of the stuff is a little hard to believe but I just have faith I am making the right choice and remember I am human with imperfect knowledge. How Mormonism is the only sect of Christianity I know that talks about a premortal life amazes me I always just assumed that was the case.

What's doubly sad is that early Christians absolutely believed all the stuff the latter-day saints believe. We just didn't know. Now that we have discovered ancient texts that were lost, we're learning more and more.

Joseph Smith is just a really good guesser, I guess.
