personally i hate any and all colonial efforts aside from canada/USA and australia/new zealand. If you're not going to wipe them out and take the land for yourself to build a civilization don't even bother. It did WAY more harm than good. Anything colonial powers ever built in countries they didn't conquer fully has been undone and destroyed. It can't be maintained or built by browns because they're not like us. I'm not a massive history buff but besides the abject failure that is India isn't that most of our colonies?. USA, New Zealand, Australia and Canada?. there South Africa as well but most of the others were just little islands and what not.
