Can someone please inform me. I’ve always naturally gravitated to gas stoves, however, in our new home we’re now on propane and it just leaks a ton cause the whole place stinks of propane. This is our first time on propane. Is it always this shitty? I had the connection checked out and was told it was the unit that’s not efficiently burning the gas.

We are redoing the kitchen pretty soon. My MIL keeps sending me articles about how gas causes cancer in children. Part of me wants to stick to gas just to spite her but the truth is the gas smell has been giving me headaches.

On the other hand I’m wary of induction. Is it actually safe? Are you transferring radiation to your food?

What is the answer?

I have butane and induction. I prefer gas, I don't really like cooking with induction, specially if I have several pots on the stove, sometimes it can be confusing which one you are switching off or turning way up, since the controls aren't that good with touch and you have no visual clues other than the display, with gas I see how big the fire is. I have never cooked with propane so I don't know about the smell. A gas stove will also outlast an induction one and they are cheaper. Other than the feedback you get from a gas stove, they all cook food. Induction is noisy at full power. The pans also tend to bow a lot with induction, they will not be flat at the center. https://files.catbox.moe/4e2533.jpg if you go induction, pick one with controls like this one, obviously not overpriced smeg crap.
