Since it's Reddit, I would imagine many of the comments say "You have to remember that it has nothing to do with race; White people in poor areas do the same thing" or some bullshit.

Which is absolutely false. Just look at the poorest majority White town in the USA, Beattyville, KY. The median income is less than $22k a year. The crime rate is well below the national average, and most of it is property crime, being petty vandalism.

Meanwhile the richest majority boack town, View Park-Windsor Hills, CA, has a median income around $150k and the average home costs nearly $700k. Their violent crime rate is twice that of Beattyville. If poverty caused crime this should be much lower than Beattyville, but instead it is so high it not only is double that of the Whites in poverty but also higher than the national average.
