I understand why you don't befriend your animals from a reply you posted earlier, and of course it makes perfect sense. I just wanted to extend my appreciation for that without having to find the specific chain.

I want goat friends. lol

My attachment to my yard animals aside, I do want to glean your experience concerning fencing i.e. what you would recommend for chickens. I had a small fence quoted from a local firm and it was very high. God bless.

Electric Net fencing works pretty good with chickens and it's temporary so fairly cheap. You can move them around and such. It what I use with my goats and to keep chickens out of the gardens.

For goats the netting has larger gaps. chickens you would want smaller holes like this poultry netting

Don't get the double spike option, they are awful. Single spike is better.

My chickens mostly run free range we just use fence to keep them away from our active gardens. Let the chickens in those areas when not in use
