There's a significant portion of the population that don't talk about guns except with their close friends, and while their phones are in the freezer.
You need to get some property and move out to a rural area. We don't even report gun shots in the middle of the night. Probably someone hunting raccoons or something.
Funny story: I told one of my friends that the county we live in has one of the lowest murder rates in the country, and crime rates are exceptionally low otherwise. He was confused, as he grew up here, and crime happens all the time. Then I asked him, "Yeah, but do you call the police?" He smiled and said, "No, we take care of it on our own." If people want to come to our area and mess around and commit crime, they might find their abandoned vehicle. I mean, we get a lot of "migrants" and "drug runners" so who knows maybe he was dealing drugs and the cartel got him or something, we didn't see anything so who knows?
