The Vulgate, if you can read Latin. The Septugiant, if you can read greek. If you want an english translation of the Vulgate, I recommend the Douay-Rheims, which has pretty based headings and footnotes that help with interpretation of some of the more dated or foreign sayings (since its a 500 year old english translation of a 1500 year old translation of a series of texts covering 4000 years of Hebrew history). I personally found it easy to read, and its a night and day difference compared to faulty translations based on the heavily doctored (((Masoretic Text))). The DRB definitely doesnt pull any punches on the JQ either, if the jews had their way that translation would be banned.

Judea was multi ethnic in Christ's time according to Josephus in book 13. Idumeans are Edomites, not Israelites,
and they have no part in the promises of Scripture. They're race mixed, which is why there was so much division in Christ's time, and it's the reason for Jacob taking Esau's inheritance.

It's like looking at any state that was white 100 years ago, looking at it in 2025 while living in 4025 and imagining they're all the same people. Total lack of historical understanding.
