You cannot forgive someone who does not repent, especially if that person hasnt just harmed you, theyve harmed God by killing one of His Creations.. Murder is a crime against God, a crime so heinous it demands the blood of the perpetrator. This has been a perennial teaching of the Church, but the (((Modernists))) fear being seen as "uncharitable" to a world that hates Justice, so they obfuscate or outright deny this teaching. These people are not Christians, they are effeminates who are too cowardly to dispense justice, and hide behind misconstrued and out of context scripture to moralize away their cowardice. Christians are called to be Meek, to endure the suffering sent their way with patience (but meekness is mainly a personal virtue, it is not meekness to stand idly by while your countrymen are robbed and exploited, it is horrible cowardice), but never to be doormats. There is a time when you should get angry, and there is a time when you should fight back. Christ Himself provided the perfect example of this, He might not have defended His Own Person very often, but when the Jews defiled the temple of His Father, He was roused to violence and drove them off. Mercy without Justice is a Crime.
Exactly, it seems that many people equivocate when they talk about forgiveness. Forgiveness for Catholic means letting go of bitterness, resentment and desire for revenge. It does not mean an abdication of Justice. God is Justice. God demands Justice.
