Brother the US population has done absolutely nothing about the government shitting all over *themselves* since the civil war. You think they'd give a fuck about japan? They sure as hell didn't stand up for japan when we were firebombing Tokyo. Or Iraq. Or syria. Or Libya. Or Germany. The lone example otherwise is Vietnam and that's it.
If Japan refused to follow they would have been fucking demolished and the US population wouldnt have done a damned thing about it. There'd be a greater chance that the *Soviet Union* would step in and say something than the American public.
And the government knows this. They experimented with the whole "topple government, kill everyone, strip their rights and demoralize them" deal on their own people in the south prior to everything else. And northerners never gave a fuck. Now southerners are the most patriotic in the US and you have retards flying the stars and bars with the fag rag. They knew what they were doing with japan because they played the game before.
True, but the nukes horrified everyone, even americans, if they had continued the atrocities, that might have been the wake up call for America (especially since there was quite a bit of anti-FDR sentiment at home).
