If people don't understand what the problem here was is that the kimono was folded in a way typically reserved for dead people(right over left) whilst wearing the chrysanthmum symbol that is the emperor's symbol, whilst having tattoos and tattoos are taboo in Japan.
Worse than that. I can't believe i didn't pick it up until like 5 minutes ago but i just realized the tattoo she has says "Japan" 日本 so it isn't just invoking the death of the emperor, its also invoking the death of the whole of Japan.

i didn't even think of that one but yes, the tattoo says "Japan" 日本 and she's wearing a kimono for dead people so basically it means
"your country and emperor are dead and we killed it. "
