Also because the pagan heaven is closed for everyone not dying the "honorable death on the battlefield", meaning heavens is closed during peace time. Not exactly the most promising feature for a religion.
And the Norse Pagan Heaven (or at least one of them) is just eternal war every day, which honestly sounds more like a layer of Hell, and technically it probably is, most of the Pagan "paradises" were still located in their respective Hells, even the ancient Hebrews believed the good went to a Hell of the Just (which is now called Limbo in Catholicism), where there wasnt any suffering, but also no presence of God.
